Western Illinois University Leathernecks Ugly Sweater.

As long as I've been seeing ugly sweaters, I just never saw them to really be "ugly" enough, or as we call them here, "tastefully tacky" enough.

Simply put: School spirit has lost its mojo

One day back in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, I went online looking for a school sweater to buy. Like a festivus, Western Illinois University-centric, ugly sweater one, and still didn't see anything worthwhile. The existing options seemed both low-quality and generic

They weren't exciting.

I was pretty disappointed (still). Here I was all primed to drop some cash, but nothing I was seeing gave me a spark. I'm a big believer in if it's worth doing at all, it's gotta be worth doing...epically, right?! Otherwise, what's the point?

I thought, ya know what? Let's see if I solve a fun, new problem and put the magic back into school spirit

Aspiring and current students as well as alumni, deserve a comfortable well-made sweater

It should be spunky. Special. When you put it on, you should feel like somebody handed you a spirit stick.

It should transform you into one of THOSE fans. You know what I'm talking about. 4th and goal. Tied up. :01 left. Freezing rain coming down and you wouldn't dream of being anywhere else. (ooooo wee...anyone else get goosebumps?!?!)

That's the feeling you should have when you wear one of our sweaters. ELECTRIC

So where am I taking my tastefully talents next..
